The Monarch Academy Public Charter School is a unique expeditionary learning environment. The school accommodates 900 students in kindergarten to eighth grade. The challenge of this project was the adaptive reuse of a historic warehouse into an innovative educational environment- all on a shoestring budget!. Classrooms were arranged by grade. Breakout areas were provided for small groups. The innovative treatment of the breakout areas  support the educational goals of the school.
